In Finnish Nuorkauppakamari and Swedish Juniorhandelskammare, Junior Chamber International Finland was founded in 1957. JCI activities came to Finland already in 1954 from Sweden. Starting as “Nuoret Talousmiehet”, later renamed to Helsinki Junior Chamber, a group of young men gathered at Dansk Klubb to listen to interesting speeches and develop their leadership skills. The national organization, JCI Finland was founded in 1957 and the first national president was Curt Vasström.
Today, Finland has 86 chapters around the country and approximately 2500 members and together with trial members and over 40-year-old senators and honorary members, we form an organization with almost 5000 JCI Members.
