Patrick Knight’s book “Blessed to Survive” tells about his individual life story, which has been shared all over the world ever since. It is a story of struggle and hope, a life story that could happen to everyone, every day.

With referring to Knight’s book, which has touched JCI members from many countries since its release in 2012, we would also like to relate to greater questions of mutual support and understanding:

  • What gives hope and how do individuals overcome struggles in life?
  • What is community’s role in supporting the individual?
  • How can international organizations and associations like JCI promote an understanding of active citizenship and mutual support?
  • How do we receive support in Helsinki, and how do we wish to see it happen in the future?

At the end of the discussion round, the participants have the opportunity of receiving a free copy of the book, given the promise that they would set it free after reading and hand it to a person in need.

Welcome to the event!
