JCI Cosmopolis is the first English-speaking chapter in Finland. JCI Cosmopolis was officially endorsed as part of JCI Finland on February 6, 2009.
JCI Cosmopolis comprises of internationally minded people of more than 10 different nationalities (Finns and foreigners). The mission of this new chapter is to offer best in class opportunities for members to develop leadership skills, entrepreneurship, social responsibility and fellowship in multicultural business environment using English as a first language. Members of JCI Cosmopolis are highly motivated professionals with various cultural backgrounds thus forming an excellent platform for fulfilling the mission. The vision of JCI Cosmopolis is to become one of the most prestigious international NGOs in Finland for personal and leadership development offering a network with creative, motivated and energised members making a difference in society.
JCI (Junior Chamber International) is worldwide network of nearly a quarter of a million members - young leaders in their 20s and 30s - in over one hundred countries and territories.
Through various local, national and international projects and events, JCI members meet, learn and grow. JCI uses the slogan "Be Better" to communicate what the organization helps members achieve: to be better - better leaders, better managers, better professionals, better citizens, better business owners, better politicians, better parents, better spouses, better brothers, better sisters, and better in whatever role in life we play.
JCI is also very strong and popular in Finland with over 5000 members. With JCI Cosmopolis, JCI Finland is also stronger widening the provided opportunities to also internationally-minded young professionals living in Helsinki Metropolitan Area who would like to Be Better.
